Introducing a Lighting Breakthrough for Facility
Managers
(15 Jan 01) Panasonic's new GEN-IV Compact Fluorescent
screw-in Lamps mean far greater efficiency, easier
across-the-board installation and enormous energy savings.
Panasonic Commercial and Residential Products Group
announces an exciting new line of compact fluorescent
lamps. Called GEN-IV, these extraordinary lamps provide
facility managers with an all-encompassing lighting
solution that delivers tremendous efficiency and up to 70%
savings in energy consumption compared to incandescent.
Available in 14 and 23 watt versions that provide light
output equivalent to 60 and 70 watt, these new Panasonic
GEN-IV lamps will make a world of difference in almost any
building. Right off the bat, they're pear shaped like an
incandescent bulb. They fit a standard screw-type base, so
installation is a breeze in virtually any conventional
socket. Also, they offer incandescent color quality (2800)
with an 84 CRI. But that's where the similarity with
incandescent ends, because unlike other bulbs, GEN-IV
compact fluorescent lamps provide maintenance-free service
for up to 10,000 hours.
State-of-the-art Amalgam technology maintains optimal
brightness output. And all of the GEN-IV CFLs feature a
fast run-up to full brightness. The 14 watt capsules are
UL approved for use in totally enclosed fixtures --
indoors or out -- and they're rated to operate in
temperatures ranging from a low of -22F to a high of 122F.
They're environmentally friendly and as you might expect,
ENERGY STARŪ compliant.
